Website operation
2. Hosting and technical access data
The website runs on a server in the infrastructure of STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When pages are requested, the server processes connection and log data for delivery, error analysis and security. These include IP address, time, requested URL, status code, data volume and browser information such as referrer and user agent. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation.
Logs
3. Retention of access data
Server logs are rotated and overwritten according to size. Processed access and error logs have a configured limit of 10 MB with one compressed previous file retained. This does not imply a fixed retention period in days. In security incidents, necessary data may be kept longer for investigation and the protection of legal claims.
Statistics
4. Local access statistics
Webalizer produces statistics from access logs on our server. Reports support operational monitoring, capacity planning and detection of unusual access patterns. Statistics are access-protected, with a configured retention of 24 months. This analysis uses no analytics cookies and sends no data to external advertising services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in website operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Browser
5. Cookies, language and embedded content
This static website sets no cookies itself and uses neither local storage nor session storage to select a language. The language follows the requested address. Images, scripts and fonts are served locally. No external analytics, advertising or CAPTCHA scripts are embedded. The website has no server-side search, newsletter registration or commenting feature. Customer services accessed through links may have their own functions and privacy terms.
Communication
6. Contacting us
Selecting “Open email” in the contact form passes your entries to your email application. It does not send a message through the web server. We receive the content and contact details only when you send the message there. Your email provider processes it under its own terms. When you contact us by email, phone, fax or post, we process the information you provide to answer your enquiry. Contract-related enquiries rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise our legitimate interest in business communication under point (f) applies. Legal obligations may require further processing under point (c).
- We retain correspondence for as long as needed for handling the matter, meeting obligations or protecting legal claims.
- Please agree a suitable method with us before sending particularly confidential information.
Recipients
7. Service providers and external links
Authorised staff and necessary hosting, IT and communication providers may process data within their duties. A data processing agreement with STRATO covers hosting. Legally required disclosures to authorities remain possible. An external link connects your browser to its operator only when opened; that operator's privacy terms then apply. Locally embedded website files do not connect to external advertising or analytics services. Any processing by providers in third countries is subject to Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.
Security
8. Protection and required information
Connections to the website are encrypted using HTTPS. Technical connection data is necessary for access. Contact information is voluntary; without a way to contact you, we may be unable to answer your enquiry. This website performs no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects and no browser-based profiling.
Your rights
9. Access, rectification and erasure
Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). You may withdraw consent for the future. Contact info@fbiscience.com to exercise these rights.
Objection
10. Right to object to processing
For processing based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will assess whether overriding compelling grounds or legal claims require continued processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time without giving reasons.
Supervision
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (Article 77 GDPR). The North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information can be reached at:
- Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf
